Angela Cartwright is Special Guest Narrator in Upcoming Hallelujah Project 6

The Choral Society Board is thrilled to announce that film and television star Angela Cartwright will take the stage as this year’s celebrity narrator for Hallelujah Project 6 on December 8 and 9 at the Lobero Theatre.

The versatile Ms. Cartwright is an artist, actress, author, photographer, curator, collaborator, instructor, traveler, wife, mother, and grandmother, not always in that order…
Angela was born in Altrincham, Cheshire, England and moved to Los Angeles, California with her family when she was three years old. She quickly began working as a child fashion model and by the time she was four, she was well known among top photographers and appeared on numerous magazine covers and advertisements. At the age of three, she made her film debut in Somebody Up There Likes Me as Paul Newman’s daughter. Another role followed in the movie Something of Value with Rock Hudson and Sidney Poitier.
At the age of four, Danny Thomas signed Angela to play his daughter Linda Williams on the hit television series Make Room for Daddy, later called The Danny Thomas Show. The series ran for seven years, during which time Angela starred in the Disney movie Lad: A Dog.
Following the Danny Thomas series, Angela was cast as Brigitta von Trapp in the legendary film The Sound of Music. In 1965, she was offered the role of Penny Robinson in Lost in Space, an iconic television show that ran for three years. She has guest starred in numerous television shows, commercials and movies. She married in 1976, raised two children, Becca and Jesse, and is a grandmother of three.
Continuing to pursue her passion for art and photography, Angela authored Mixed Emulsions – Altered Art Techniques for Photographic Imagery, which explores her hand-painted photography and her unique altered art techniques. Two more art books followed, In This House: A collection of Altered Art Imagery and Collage Techniques, and In This Garden: Explorations in Mixed Media Visual Narrative. Angela also conceived and collaborated on The Sound of Music Family Scrapbook with her movie von Trapp siblings from the movie.
Angela continues to write articles on photo art and altered art techniques and self publishes Pasticcio Quartz a Quality ART Zine published. She has also pioneered and produced a clothing and jewelry line, Angela Cartwright Studio, which incorporates her hand painted art.ography images on natural, easy to wear art.wear and accessories. Her art and photography has been licensed for numerous products and is exhibited and collected around the world. She travels the world with Craftours teaching her art techniques and yearly leading a special trip to Salzburg, Austria sharing her Sound of Music behind the scenes experiences.
Styling the Stars: Lost Treasures from the Twentieth Century Fox Archive is Angela’s award winning coffee table book that offers never before seen photographs and a behind the scenes exclusive glimpse inside Hollywood’s Twentieth Century Fox Studio archives. Now available in paperback.
In celebration of the Lost In Space 50th Anniversary, Angela and Bill Mumy collaborated on a pictorial memoir, Lost (and Found) In Space, which offers never before seen photographs and personal tales of their unique experiences while filming the show.
Just released: On Purpose, a fantasy adventure novel Angela wrote with Bill Mumy, her co-star from the Lost in Space series.

American baritone, Ralph Cato has travelled the world extensively, telling stories in song with his warm, clarion baritone voice.
Tenor, Benjamin Brecher has performed over fifty operatic roles with many of the world’s most prestigious opera companies, specializing in the high lying lyric tenor repertoire. He has performed 16 roles with New York City Opera alone. Career highlights include performances with Opera Orchestra of New York, L’Opera de Nice, Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, L’Opera de Montreal, Santa Fe Opera, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, among many others. His orchestral solo repertoire includes Mozart, Handel, Orff, Bach, Haydn, as well as many performances of Britten. In 2000 he began performing the great Irish Tenor songs in a concert produced for him entitled A Celtic Celebration, Twenty years later, the show has become a North American hit with performances with 45 Symphonies in North America. Ben continues his discography having added his twelfth recording in 2016 Forgotten Liszt, with pianist Robert Koenig, and will record a new release in 2022 entitled “Three Centuries of Thomas Moore” including the music of Britten, Berlioz, and Sarah Gibson on MSR Classics. He is a Professor of Voice at University of California Santa Barbara, where he has served as the Head of Voice.
Tracy Van Fleet is pleased to return to the Santa Barbara Choral Society. As a soloist, she has performed with the Los Angeles Master Chorale, Lüneburg Symphony in Germany, Orquesta Filarmónica de Boca del Río in Mexico, Pasadena Symphony, Naples Philharmonic, Los Angeles Bach Festival, San Diego Chamber Orchestra, Colorado Philharmonic, USC Symphony and Chorus, and others. She has had many appearances with the Los Angeles Opera, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Pacific Symphony, Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, Opera Pacific, San Diego Opera and Opera Colorado.
Born and raised in Southern California, April Amante is a versatile soprano with expertise and facility in repertoire spanning from early music to contemporary musical theater.
